An Indiana mother of two killed her children and stabbed herself in the neck before calling 911 to confess, according to police.
Brandi Worley admitted to a dispatcher that she had attacked her 7-year-old son Tyler and 3-year-old daughter Charlee early Thursday, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said.
Sheriff Mark Casteel said that the 30-year-old had a “matter-of-fact” and unremorseful manner when she said “I just stabbed myself and killed my two children.”
The NY Daily News reports that the children’s father Jason Worley, who filed for divorce on Wednesday, was asleep in the basement of the home, where the children were discovered dead in a bedroom.
A cause of death for the children has not been released, and autopsies are scheduled for Friday.
