A dancer collapsed and died on stage as the audience applauded, thinking it was all part of the show.

The man was dancing energetically at a concert in Russia's Chechen Republic when he suddenly lost his footing and fell .Singer Liza Akhmatova carried on singing and dancing around him, unaware he wasn't acting.

Thinking he intentionally stopped dancing, she urged the audience to clap for him and they did.

But it quickly became clear that something was very wrong and other members of the cast came onto the stage to check on the dancer who was pronounced dead..
