A 15-year-old secondary student Safiya Abbas, is set to have her hand amputated. Safiya, had not so long ago sustained serious injuries at her school following an accident at the Science lab.
A chemical poured on her hand during a practical class at Science Secondary School Miga, Taraba state,which damaged a entire finger.
Reports have it that the school management tried to manage the situation for two days, but had to contact her parents when things were only getting worse. She was later taken to the state hospital, where doctors said the only remedy is to have her hand amputated.
