Final words of Texas church massacre gunman

Police have revealed that the Texas church gunman made a last call to his dad as he tried to evade capture having slaughtered 26 people.

Devin Kelley called his father as he was being chased by two local heroes following the shooting and told him: "I've been shot. I don't think I'm going to make it."

Kelley burst into a Baptist church and opened fire indiscriminately, with children among his victims.

The killer, 26, was confronted by Stephen Willeford - who lived close to the church - before a high-speed chase away from the scene of the massacre.

Mr Willeford and fellow hero Johnnie Langedorff chased Kelley in a car, and have been credited with preventing more deaths.
