NBC issues new hugging policy to staff following Matt Laurer scandal

Following Matt Lauer’s firing at NBC, staffers say the network has tightened its sexual harassment policies and is taking a zero-tolerance approach to office romances.

A source told PageSix that NBC employees are now required to report “any inappropriate relationships or behavior in the office” and could be fired if they fail to come forward.

According to the source, NBC has issued strict rules on hugging in the office.
“If you wish to hug a colleague, you have to do a quick hug, then an immediate release, and step away to avoid body contact,” said the source.
The source added there’s also
“strict rules about socializing, including [not] sharing taxis home and [not] taking vegans to steakhouses.”
